This book has a bit of technical philosophy, thereby making it quite powerful for those wanting a sturdy foundation for Advaita Vedanta. The author is a master of both Eastern and Western philosophy. Both are very similar in many respects. Both adhere to the highest standards of logic and reason. In both, the aspirant is asked to use his powers of mind to reason out the truth from their teachings and not to accept them without thinking.

In both, this world itself is our. The best book that I have read on Advaita Vedanta is by Mr. Yellamraju Srinivasa Rao gaaru. It's written in Telugu. It is called "Jagadguru Mahopadesamu" (The great gospel of universal Guru; Page on ). It nicely summarizes the philosophical work of Adi Sankara.

•Meditation and Its Practices(by Swami Adiswarananda): This book, by a qualified teacher in the Ramakrishna lineage, is a straightforward explanation of meditation from the Yoga and Vedanta traditions.

Most importantly, the work expresses traditional and reliable views of Advaita and Yoga in a direct and practical manner. Jagadguru Sri Adi Shankaracharya was the greatest exponent of the doctrine of Advaita Vedanta and a savior of Vedic Dharma.

Salutations to Adi Shankaracharya, who is an ever shining star on the sky of Indian philosophy. The existence of Vedic Dharma in India today is due to Adi Shankara.
